Nursing Graduates will be recognized in candlelight ceremony

RICHLAND — Graduates of the WSU Tri-Cities College of Nursing will be recognized at Convocation, a special pinning and candlelight ceremony, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Battelle Auditorium, 904 Battelle Blvd., Richland.

Convocation is a thoughtful occasion where faculty, staff, medical professionals and students’ family members celebrate the hard work and special relationships of the 28 members of the Fall 2008 graduating class. Of those, 21 are earning Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, one is completing the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science program, and six are earning Master of Nursing degrees.

The two-hour ceremony features student speakers Haley Wells, Jennifer Grant, and Robert Pleyo; faculty speaker Josh Reyes; and comments by Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein and Nursing academic director Phyllis Morris.

Convocation is open to the public. A reception follows the ceremony.
