Nominate now for MLK Distinguished Service Award

PULLMAN — The WSU Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Award Committee is seeking nominations for the 2009 MLK Distinguished Service Award for staff, students and community individuals or groups.

The MLK Distinguished Service Awards will recognize nominees who have demonstrated extraordinary contributions in continuing the work of Martin Luther King and who excel in the advancement of diversity through innovative and effective programs, service or outreach for staff, students or the WSU community.

Criteria for the awards, nomination forms and instructions can be found at http://www.thedivision.wsu.edu/. The deadline to submit applications is Dec. 30.

Felicia Gaskins, Martin Luther King Distinguished Award Committee chair, said she encourages last year’s nominees and applicants to resubmit their materials for consideration this year, as well as new nominations.
