Concert halls no longer available for rent

PULLMAN – Bryan Hall theater and Kimbrough concert hall are no longer available for rent to most WSU or non-WSU users as event venues.

The decision was a result of the School of Music’s academic affairs program prioritization (A2P2), said Gerald Berthiaume, director of the school.

The venues will continue to be open to a limited number of traditionally-hosted events, such as Beasley concerts, president’s addresses and performances sponsored by the Visual, Performing and Literary Arts Committee (VPLAC). But additional events – which have averaged no more than 10 per year – will not be accepted.

The school’s increasing curricular needs for the spaces for instruction, rehearsals, set-up and performances preclude availability for other users, Berthiaume said. The school produces more than 100 events per academic year.
