Palouse Ridge Golf Club ranked 15th by Golfweek

Pullman— Based on its exalted ranking, WSU’s Palouse Ridge Golf Club, opened in August, 2008, now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest new courses in the nation.

Golfweek’s annual ‘Best New Courses’ rankings are based on input from nearly 500 raters who regularly submit ballots based on 10 criteria, each of which is graded on a 10-point scale. Palouse Ridge is ranked 15th out of 50 on Golfweek’s list. The publication defines new courses as those having opened in the past two calendar years (2007-2008).

“We are thrilled by this prestigious ranking,” says Palouse Ridge General Manager Bruce Perisho. “If you study the list, you’ll find we are ranked 3rd for all new courses in 2008 — the other courses ahead of us opened in 2007.” In addition, Palouse Ridge is the only university-affiliated course on the roster.
