The WSU Education Abroad Fair held Sept. 3 on Glenn Terrell Mall, drew large crowds of students interested in international studies.

The event  boasted 20 study abroad program providers offering study and internship opportunities in over 40 countries.

Students in any field of study considered cost-effective programs to enhance their education and give a global perspective on their area of study.

In addition, WSU faculty were present to share information on summer and semester programs abroad. Faculty-led programs have been growing in popularity and offer a unique opportunity for in-depth, field-based study abroad while taking WSU courses.

Students also learned about exchange program options. Exchanges are considered full-immersion programs because students enroll directly in a partner university abroad and have access to full curriculum study. Students studying at WSU from these partner schools were available to answer questions about exchanges at the fair. Education Abroad staff were available to answer questions.

The Education Abroad Fair is a bi-annual event that allows students to speak directly with program providers, WSU faculty, and Education Abroad staff about study abroad opportunities.  This year, the WSU will also host Education Abroad fairs at WSU Vancouver on Sept. 22,  and at WSU Tri-Cities on Sept. 23.
