PULLMAN – The economics of various crop rotations, research on soil surface residue and soil organic matter in direct seeding, as well as herbicide trials in oil seed crops were just a few of the topics covered during field tours at the Palouse Conservation Station Field Day Thursday.
 
Dennis Roe, long-time NRCS conservationist and agronomist who retired last June after 41 years of service in the Inland Northwest was honored during the noon program.
 

More than 90 people registered for the event.
