Symposium calls for abstracts

The Inland Northwest Health Sciences Research Symposium planning committee invites the submission of abstracts of research to be considered for poster viewing or presentation on April 24 and 25.

Those eligible to submit abstracts include scholars, researchers, scientists, faculty, those having achieved doctoral candidacy or terminal degrees, and master’s and doctoral students who have not yet achieved doctoral candidacy. 

Sought for three categories are abstracts of completed research with a health science, health practice, and/or health education focus. Abstracts of meta-analyses, innovative projects, and completed pilot projects are also welcomed in the Developing Scholars category.

• Non-Competitive Poster Viewing (open to all parties listed above)
• 1st Annual Scholars Competition (open to all parties listed above except master’s and doctoral students who have not yet achieved doctoral candidacy)
• 2nd Annual Developing Scholars Competition (only open to master’s and doctoral students who have not yet achieved doctoral candidacy)

Please note: Case reports, case series, clinical commentaries, and literatures reviews are not appropriate for this symposium.

Submissions should be made by Tuesday, March 18 and should follow the requested format as listed at http://nursing.wsu.edu/research/INHS_ResearchSymposium/.

Six abstracts will be accepted for a podium presentation in the Scholars Competition with a $1,000 research award presented to the Best in Conference Scholar, and eight abstracts will be accepted for a podium presentation in the Developing Scholar Competition with a $500 research award presented to the Best in Conference Developing Scholar.
