Graduate student association elections

It’s election time for The Graduate and Professional St
udent Association (GPSA).
 
Here are some dates to remember:
 
  • Feb. 19: Candidate filing  begins
  • Feb. 28: Candidate filing ends
  • March 3: Candidate debates
  • March 4 & 5: Elections

The GPSA is the representative body for graduate and professional students at WSU. The primary role of the GPSA is to serve as an advocate for the graduate and professional students in order to improve the quality of education and student life at the University.

The GPSA Senate is the primary representative body for graduate and professional students. The Senate typically meets twice each month on Monday evenings. Senators are elected by their respective departments and serve a one year term of office.

Senators act as a voice for their individual program’s concerns as well as for issues that affect the greater campus community. In addition to participating in Senate meetings, each senator is required to serve on one university committee.
