Engineering students to host Employment Expo

PULLMAN – The WSU IEEE Student Chapter will host E4, an employment exposition with representatives from 30+ companies Tuesday Feb. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the halls of the Engineering Technology and Research Laboratories (ETRL) building.

The event will provide recruiters with the opportunity to connect with electrical engineering and computer science students in their junior and senior years, however it is open to the public and other disciplines are welcome to attend.

While companies of all sizes will be present at the expo, students can expect to find tables from Northwest industry giants such as: Microsoft, Real Networks, Schweitzer Engineering, Hewlett Packard, Portland General Electric, Puget Sound Energy.

Job seekers should dress professionally, bring several copies of their resumes and be prepared to answer questions.

In addition to the employment expo, E4 will also host a dinner on Wednesday Feb.13 at 5 p.m. at the SEL Event Center.  Hosted the night after the E4 career expo, this unique event will allow for students and company representatives to interact in a social atmosphere without the pressure of a crowded career fair.

The evening will begin with an open introduction period where students and representatives can meet and mingle, followed by a dinner period and dessert period, each with different assigned seating to give company representatives a broad introduction to the attending student body.

Those interested in the event can find more information, including a complete list of companies attending at: http://www.ieee.wsu.edu/e4.  To register for the dinner, please stop by Sloan Hall, Room 6.
