Extension Engaged will focus on sustainablility

Extension Engaged will address practical aspects of community sustainability during its production at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in FSHN T-101.

The Pullman audience is asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m. Videostream access also will begin then ONLINE @ http://eces.wsu.edu/video/stream.html. Toll-free numbers and an e-mail provided during the program will allow viewers to send in questions.

The program is designed to:
* Educate communities about sustainability.
* Emphasize local sustainability planning.
* Promote sustainability assessment as a tool.
WSU guests will include William Budd, environmental planning specialist and professor, Bob Scarfo, associate professor of landscape architecture, and earth and environmental sciences doctoral students Heidi Sowell and Kara Whitman.

The program will include videotaped interviews with other faculty and officials from Moscow and Pullman.
