Scholarship recipients, donors recognized today

RICHLAND – The recipients and donors of more than $59,000 in WSU Tri-Cities scholarships will be recognized at luncheon today.

These are the annual scholarships offered at WSU Tri-Cities, typically awarded to juniors and seniors. An event for the special freshman scholarship donors will be held in early 2008.

The luncheon starts at noon at WSU Tri-Cities in the Consolidated Information Center, Room 120, at 2770 University Drive, Richland.

The program features about 30 scholarship recipients making brief comments about how important the financial assistance is to their educational goals.

The scholarship contributors include several service groups, Kadlec Medical Center Foundation, the Battelle Memorial Institute, the Hispanic Academic Achievers Program, and endowments such as the Carl Zanger Memorial Scholarship and the Herbert Parker Memorial Scholarship.
