Go international this winter break

Expland your horizons this Winter and join the Outdoor Recreation Staff as they host an international trip to Thailand.

Past ORC international trips have included scuba diving in the Bimini Islands as well as surfing in Costa Rica.

The trip begins on December 14 and will conclude December 24. The goal of this trip is to incorporate a service component that will enhance the participants experience by allowing them to spend more meaningful time with the local culture and environment.

Thailand has a lot to offer the outdoor enthusiast including climbing, scuba, snorkeling and kayaking. Travelers will also get to experience the culture, scenery, and exotic animals that Thailand is known for.

The cost will include travel to and from the Unites States, lodging, and specific internal transportation. Participants are responsible for any passports or associated travel documents, vaccinations, or travel insurance. The trip is designed to have a loose itinerary to allow for small groups to make personal excursions during the day, while maintaining group safety by travelling and lodging together.

There will be a trip interest meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Hollingbery Fieldhouse Annex- room 101. This meeting will provide a general itinerary of this adventure as well as all important information regarding travel and equipment.
