WSU presents summer musical

The Washington State University School of Music will be presenting their sixth consecutive summer musical on the evenings of July 20, 21, 27, and 28.

This summer’s production of “Nunsensations: The Nunsense Vegas Review” will be performed in Bryan Hall Theatre starting at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show will be $5 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.

“Nunsensations: The Nunsense Vegas Review” takes a group of sisters on an adventure to Las Vegas when a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to their school if they will perform in a Vegas club. Mother Superior, played by Jane Lear, is hesitant to accept the offer, but is convinced by the others sisters. What follows is the most feather-filled, sequin-studded, fan dancing Nunsense show ever! The sisters perform in “The Pump Room” at the Mystique Motor Lodge, while experiencing “show-biz” like never before.

The cast also includes Emily Dahlgren as Sister Mary Hubert, Olivia Lenoue as Sister Mary Leo, Becky Elshaw as Sister Mary Paul, and Allie Rennie as Sister Robert Anne.

The production is directed by Julie Anne Wieck with accompanist Joe Sartori.
