Many Mom’s Weekend events free to public

Below are listings of some of the WSU Mom’s Weekend events that might be of interest to faculty, staff and the general public. Friday, April 13
• 9 a.m.-9 p.m., arts and crafts fair, Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum, free.

• 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., campus art tour, Fine Arts Center Plaza (outside Museum of Art), free.

• Noon-5:45 p.m., quilt exhibit, Holland and Terrell Libraries atrium, free.

• 2-5 p.m., greenhouse open house, botanical collection used for instructional purposes features many unusual plants, Abelson 716, free.

• 2-10 p.m. antique show, 10-12 dealer booths, Gladish Community Center Gym, $1.

• 5:30-7:30 p.m., poster and book sale, Museum of Art/WSU, free.

• 6-8 p.m., master of fine arts thesis exhibition reception, Museum of Art/WSU, free.

• 7:30-9:30 p.m., fashion show, student designers, Beasley coliseum, tickets $12 at door, $10 advance at 1-800-325-SEAT or Beasley ticket office.

• 7 p.m.-10 p.m.WSU Ducks Unlimited will hold a country swing dance at the Gladish Community Center, 115 State St. The event is $5  single and $8  a couple with optional $25 membership.

• 8 p.m., Godspell, School of Music presents the Broadway hit musical, Bryan theater, $10, $5 students/seniors.

• 8 p.m., The Miss Firecracker Contest, comedy play, Daggy Hall, $10, $5 student, $7.50 senior, 335-7447.

Saturday, April 14
• 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Pullman fire department charity pancake feed, Presbyterian church, 1630 NE Stadium Way, tickets at door,  $4-$8, under 6 free.

• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., arts and crafts fair, Beasley coliseum, free.

• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Nuclear Radiation Center reactor tours, no bags or cameras, photo ID required, Dodgen Research Facility, free.

• 9 a.m.-5:45 p.m., quilt exhibit, Holland and Terrell Libraries atrium, free.

• 10 a.m., Raptor Club auction/craft fair, Vet Hospital.

• 10-11 a.m., talk on beauty sleep: myth or reality? Smith CUE 316, free.

• 10 a.m.-noon, health fair, screenings for bone density, blood pressure, blood glucose, other information, CUE 518, free.

• 10 a.m.-1 p.m., greenhouse open house, botanical collection used for instructional purposes features many unusual plants, Abelson 716, free.
