The third annual Information Technology Forum for WSU technical support staff will be held March 12-13 in Todd Hall on the Pullman campus.
Intended to provide professional development and networking opportunities, the forum is free for WSU employees. But attendees must register in advance ONLINE @ http://infotech.wsu.edu/vpis no later than 5 p.m. Monday, March 5.
The keynote session will feature Linda Criddle, an international lecturer and expert on Internet safety risks and solutions. She will provide an overview of risks and principles for designing, building, executing and supporting safer code.
Tuesday’s plenary presenter will be Alan Brill, an internationally recognized authority on security and forensic sciences. Workshops will address WSU’s information security program (plans, policies, toolkits, etc.) and tools for the deployment of Vista and Office 2007.
A number of concurrent and breakout sessions will be presented by IT professionals from WSU and industry. There will be a vendor session on Monday afternoon.
With continued emphasis on technology in much of what we do at WSU, the IT services units from all WSU campuses invite technical support staff to attend the forum.
