PULLMAN – Maureen Ehrenberg, executive vice president of Grubb & Ellis Company, will visit the Washington State University campus Feb. 7 as the DeYoung Executive-in-Residence in the College of Business.
Her public address, “Technology, Identify, and Culture: The Impact on Innovation,” will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) Room 203, with a reception in the CUE Atrium starting at 3:30 p.m. The address follows meetings during the day with several business classes and student groups in Todd Hall.

Ehrenberg is president of Global Client Services as well as president and CEO of Grubb & Ellis Management Services, Inc. She is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Global Client Services, which includes the Corporate Services Group; Institutional Investment Group; Grubb & Ellis Management Services, Inc.; G&E Affiliates, Inc.; and Grubb & Ellis Company’s alliance with Avison Young. Her support team includes professional engineers, project managers, accountants, consultants and financial analysts who support Grubb & Ellis field offices and clients.
Ehrenberg joined Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc. in 1997 as its central region president. She was named national president overseeing all leasing, management, and construction in 1998. In 2004, she became president of Global Client Services in charge of several of the company’s key business lines.
Her previous employment was as regional vice president for Premisys Real Estate Services, Inc., a subsidiary of The Prudential Insurance Company of America. She was also a regional vice president for First Office Management, a subsidiary of Sam Zell’s Equity Group, and also held positions with Rubloff, Inc. and with Balcor/American Express.
Ehrenberg is a fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of Counselors of Real Estate. She is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, has done graduate-level research in international economics at The City University in London, England, where she completed her bachelor’s degree with joint honors in economics and accounting.
The DeYoung Executive-in-Residence series began in 1973 to bring prominent business leaders to campus to meet with students and deliver public addresses. Support for the program is provided by the Dennis DeYoung family. DeYoung, a 1968 graduate of the College’s Hospitality Business Management program, is a partner in Grand Slam Licensing, Inc., in Woodinville. He received the prestigious Alumni Achievement Award from WSU in 1990.
