WSU Vancouver Information Night rescheduled

VANCOUVER– The School of Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University Vancouver is hosting an information night for prospective students at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 23 in the Student Services building.

Due to the Washington State University Vancouver campus closing for bad weather Jan. 16, when the event was originally scheduled, the Engineering and Computer Science information night will be combined with the Preview Day event at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Student Services building.

Current high school students and potential transfer students will have a chance to meet personally with WSU Vancouver’s world-class engineering and computer science faculty, as well as tour the state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities on the campus. The faculty will present details about bachelor’s degrees offered in these fields.

At WSU Vancouver, computer science students can choose from a variety of courses in areas such as intelligent systems, software and hardware systems, graphics, networking and multimedia.

Mechanical engineering students can customize their study through micro and nanotechnology, design and manufacturing, and mechatronics – the design of mechanical systems with electronic and computer controls, automation and robotics.
