PULLMAN–The Cougar Health Awareness Team will host American Red Cross Blood Drives on the Washington State University Pullman campus Nov. 15, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in The Bookie and Nov. 29, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the second floor atrium of the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education.
In the United States, a blood transfusion is needed about every two seconds. By spending about an hour a donor can make a real difference in the lives of patients in the area.
“By giving now you can help save a life and help ensure an adequate community blood supply this holiday season,” said Rachel Davis, one of the organizers of the Cougar Health Awareness Team. “Give a patient in need a reason to be truly thankful. Together, we can save a life.”
Blood donors must be in good general health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years of age. A photo ID is required at the time of donation. To schedule a blood donation, call Davis at (509) 335-6035.
