Keeping up with the Huskies

The 2006 Combined Fund Drive is approaching its midway point, and contributions are funneling in. As always, WSU’s drive coordinators are not emphasizing the dollar amount, but rather the number of contributors.

But how is WSU doing when compared to other universities in terms of employee involvement? WSU has about 686 employees who have committed to making CFD contributions in the next year. That’s about a 10 percent participation rate among full-time employees.

At the University of Washington, 3,875 employees have signed up to make CFD donations, which translates to about 12.4 percent of employees.
WSU’s CFD coordinators are hoping employee participation levels will equal or exceed those at the UW.

Last year the UW ended the CFD drive with about a 15 percent participation level. WSU is a couple percentage points behind the UW, but there still are several weeks to go.

CFD contributions are tax deductible.
