‘Grease’ performance coming; tickets on sale

Tickets for a one-night performance of the off-Broadway musical “Grease,” which will be held at Washington State University’s Beasley Coliseum, are now on sale. The performance is set for 8 p.m. on April 29.

One of Broadway’s longest-running musicals, “Grease” is a nostalgic look at growing up in the 1950s. It is the story of Danny Zuko, king of the Burger Palace Boys, and Sandy Dumbrowski, a naïve transfer student whose life changes when she meets Rizzo, leader of the Pink Ladies.

Tickets are $35 and $43, with a $5 discount for WSU students, faculty and staff. Tickets are available at all TicketsWest outlets, by phone at (800) 325-SEAT and online at www.beasley.wsu.edu.

“Grease” revisits the classic rock ‘n’ roll sounds of the 1950s with songs such as “We Go Together,” “Greased Lightning,” Beauty School Dropout” and “Summer Nights.” Producers made special arrangements to include songs from the movie version, such as “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “You’re the One That I Want.”

For more information, contact Russ Driver at (509) 335-2241, or visit the Beasley Coliseum Web site at www.beasley.wsu.edu.
