PULLMAN, Wash. — In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Washington State University School of Music and Theatre Arts will host its annual women’s music recital.
The recital is set for March 22 at 8 p.m. in Bryan Hall Theatre. Admission is free.
A number of WSU faculty members and students will perform an array of music, ranging from classical to jazz. The program includes works by a number of female composers, ranging from Prelude in F by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, “Let Us Walk in the White Snow” by Mary Howe and “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell.
Student and faculty performers include organist Kelly Cornwall, alto saxophonist Megan Patry, pianists Nola Swanson, Elena Panchenko, Emily Sternfeld-Dunn, Mary Doornink, Daniel Immel, Julie Solbrack, and Michelle Mielke; trombonist Denise Snider, Nicholas Wallin on tuba and vocalists Jennifer Scovell, Sara Stricherz, Rachel Waniata, Haiyan Song and Julie Anne Wieck.
