WSU Today gets fresh new look

WSU Today readers will notice a new look to the printed and online publication, which began with the Jan. 7, 2005 issue.

The publication last received a total redesign about three and a half years ago when it changed from WSU Week to WSU Today and WSU Today online. Most of the current design will be maintained; i.e., typeface, regular features (like Money Watch, WSU News Briefs, Web Spotlight, etc.), color, rules.

The most dramatic change will be seen in the WSU Today flag (the name at the top of the front page), which has been redesigned by Dave Hoyt, a graphic designer with WSU Marketing Communications. Hoyt also redesigned and relocated the promotion or teaser strip, now at the bottom of the front page.

To improve the quality of photos and color and to enhance print quality, contrast and general readability, WSU Today also is moving to a whiter paper stock.

We hope these upcoming changes in WSU Today’s design will prove helpful to all readers.

As always, WSU Today’s editorial staff will strive to consistently provide faculty, staff and graduate students with the most accurate, balanced university news and information possible.
