The musical about cats was created after Andrew Lloyd Webber picked up T.S. Eliot’s book of children’s poems “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” in an airport bookshop. “Cats” has since become the longest-running show in the history of Broadway.

”Cats” first opened in 1981 and has become one of the world’s best-known and loved musicals. Winner of seven Tony Awards, including best musical, “Cats” features 10 of Webber’s timeless melodies, including the song “Memory.”
