WSU Events in Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 10), WSU President V. Lane Rawlins and Len Jessup, dean of the WSU College of Business and Economics, will join Puget Sound business leaders for the first WSU Power Breakfast at the W Hotel in Seattle.

Kerry Killinger, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Seattle-based Washington Mutual, will be the guest speaker for this inaugural event.

The Bon-Macy’s Second Annual Future Cougars of Color Diversity Scholarship Event will be held at Bon-Macy’s at Third and Pine in downtown Seattle. Mona Locke, wife of Washington Gov. Gary Locke, will be the keynote speaker.  A pre-lunch social will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon begins at noon. All proceeds from this event benefit under-represented minority students and the WSU Future Cougars of Color Program.

The Cougar Marching Band, the Cougar mascot Butch and the WSU Spirit Squad will be on hand as the Cougar faithful rally to show their crimson pride at a Spirit Event beginning at 5 p.m. Friday at Westlake Center in downtown Seattle. Westlake is home to Washington State Connections, the university’s new retail store.

And on Saturday, at 12:30 p.m., the WSU Cougars football squad tackles the Colorado Buffaloes at Qwest Field.
