Summer jazz on the mall plus a free movie at the CUB

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Campus Involvement will present Music on the Mall with Jazz Night from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, on Glenn Terrell Mall.

Jazz Night, a musical experience fusing together favorites of many eras of music, is influenced by the sounds of James Brown, Herbie Hancock and the jazz styling of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrain and Joe Henderson.

“Starsky and Hutch,” a comedy starring Ben Stiller, will be shown at 5: 30 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 13 in the Compton Union Building auditorium. Admission is free.

From September 1975 to August 1979, Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul starred in the wildly popular buddy-cop television drama Starsky & Hutch as detectives Dave Starsky and Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson, respectively.

Detectives David Starsky and Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson use their undercover skills, street smarts and good looks to solve crime. The film is rated PG-13.
