PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University will present a number of activities on the Pullman campus next week, May 17-21.
DJ Doughboy will mix up music of the 80’s, 90’s and today from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, on Glenn Terrell Mall. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Compton Union Building Lair. University Catering will sell food.
With some influence from Warren G and Arrested Development, DJ Doughboy, aka Darin Hanson, started to deejay and has not looked back. The name “Doughboy” comes from a character by the same name from the movie “Boyz in the Hood.” Hanson’s friends gave him the nickname, and he has been DJ Doughboy ever since. He can be heard at Valhalla in Pullman, spinning the hip-hop hits of today on Fridays and the hits of the 80’s on Saturdays.
“Along Came Polly,” a romantic comedy starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston, will be shown Thursday, May 20 in the CUB auditorium. Show times are 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is free. The film is rated PG-13
