Ninth Annual Women and Leadership Forum at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Ninth Annual Women and Leadership Forum “Choosing to LEAD” will be March 24-25 on the Washington State University campus.

Donna Shavlik, a former senior fellow with the American Council on Education, will give this year’s keynote address “Choosing to Lead: The Time is Now.” The event will be at 7:30 p.m. March 24 in the Samuel H. Smith Center for Undergraduate Education, Room 203. 

The forum will be March 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Compton Union Building and include an 8:45 a.m. panel discussion “Choosing to Lead: Opportunities and Possibilities.”

Concurrent breakout sessions are scheduled throughout the all-day event on a variety of topics.  A Women’s Recognition Luncheon, coordinated by the Women’s Resource Center, will be at noon. Tickets for the luncheon are $15. Registration is required. The forum is free and open to the public.

Shavlik recently completed a term with the ACE Office of Women in Higher Education and held leadership positions for 24 years. She is a founding member of the National Council for Research on Women and the National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education.
