Palouse High School Students Invited to WSU for Spring High School Tour

PULLMAN, Wash. — High school students from across the Palouse are invited to attend this year’s Washington Council for High School College Relations Spring High School Tour at Washington State University.

Scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to noon March 18 in the Samuel H. Smith Center for Undergraduate Education, the annual event is expected to draw representatives from 13 colleges and universities around the state to assist students in gaining more knowledge about the educational opportunities available to them.

High schools invited to attend are Asotin, Clarkston, Colfax, Colton, Garfield/Palouse, LaCrosse, Lewiston, Moscow, Oakesdale, Pomeroy, Pullman, St. John/Endicott and Tekoa.

Presentations at this year’s event will be made by the Art Institute of Seattle, Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Pacific Lutheran University, Seattle University, The Evergreen State College, University of Puget Sound, University of Washington, Whitworth College, WSU, and Western Washington University.

Students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the conference is scheduled to begin in order to pick up a listing of locations of individual college and university representatives.  A table offering information on the schedule for the day’s events will be located on the first floor foyer of the Smith Center.

Parking is available for school buses and other vehicles in the yellow-coded lot south of the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.  Permits are not required for school buses, but permits for other vehicles accompanying your group can be sent upon request at no charge.  Parking passes may also be obtained at the Visitor Center (Cougar Depot) on the way into Pullman for $3.
