WSU Sorority Sponsors Local Food Drive

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Kappa Delta Sorority will sponsor its annual food drive “Give from the Heart” from Feb. 28-29.

Members of the sorority will be at the entrances to Dissmores and Safeway from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to collect canned food donations. Proceeds will go to the Whitman County Community Action Center.

Last year the group raised more than 3,000 pounds of food, said Kristin Olson, event coordinator.

“It created a mountain in our house foyer,” she said. “We were pleased with the results and hope to not only match last years efforts but strive to exceed it.”

For more information, contact Olson at (206) 779-0956 or e-mail to kristinolson1@hotmail.com.
