Rapper, Speaker Chuck D Coming to Pullman Feb. 26

PULLMAN, Wash. — Acclaimed rapper and speaker Chuck D will perform on the Washington State University campus at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Compton Union Building Ballroom.

Pre-sale tickets are $12 and can be purchased in the campus involvement office, located on the third floor of the CUB, and at the University of Idaho ticket office starting Monday (Feb. 9). Tickets will be $15 at the door.

As leader and co-founder of Public Enemy, Chuck D redefined music and hip-hop culture. As a national spokesperson for Rock the Vote and HBO’s campaign for the Partnership for the Drug-Free America, Chuck D speaks about such issues as diversity, race relations, music on the Internet and hip hop today. He also has hosted a segment on the Fox News Channel and published a best-selling autobiography, “Fight the Power.”

The event is sponsored by the Associated Students of Washington State University Student Entertainment Board, the African American Student Center, the African American Student Association and the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
