ASWSU SEB Releases Spring Movie Schedule

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Associated Students of Washington State University Student Entertainment Board will show 14 films during the upcoming spring semester.
        

The film series will open with the Jack Black comedy, “School of Rock,” on Jan. 23 and conclude with the Julia Roberts hit, “Mona Lisa Smile,” on April 17.

One of the highlights of the film series will be an opportunity to see all three Lord of the Rings films in one day.  The first two films, “The Fellowship of the Rings” and “The Two Towers,” will feature extended editions of the popular films. The films will be screened with intermissions between the films on the weekend of April 10. 

Another highlight will be a Sean Penn tribute weekend on March 5.  There will be a double feature of the recent Penn films, “Mystic River” and “21 Grams.”

All films are screened in the Compton Union Building Auditorium and are shown at 7 and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 and 7 p.m. on Sundays. (“The Lord of the Rings” engagement will have different times, which will be available at a later date.)  Admission is just $3 per film and $5 for double features.

Following is the complete listing of films that are showing through the CUB: Jan. 23 – “School of Rock”; Jan. 30 – “Shattered Glass”; Feb. 6 – “Kill Bill Volume 1”; Feb. 13 – “Love Actually”; Feb. 20 – “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”; Feb. 27 – “Matrix Revolutions”; March 5 – “Mystic River” and “21 Grams”; March 26 – “Last Samurai”; April 3 – “Butterfly Effect”; April 10 – Lord of the Rings Trilogy; and April 17 – “Mona Lisa Smile.”
