WSU Vancouver Joins with Professional Schools to Promote Science Programs at Health Career Fair

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Washington State University Vancouver will host a health career fair from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 in the Engineering Life Sciences building. The event is free and open to the public.

WSU Vancouver has invited a number of professional schools to participate, including Eastmoreland Hospital Osteopathic Medicine, National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Oregon Health and Sciences University, the Oregon State University and WSU Veterinary Medicine programs, Pacific University, Western States Chiropractic College, WSU Professional Schools and the University of Washington Medical School. Workshops will be conducted during the fair by admissions representatives from each institution.

“The health career fair is a wonderful opportunity for prospective students to meet with admissions representatives throughout Washington and Oregon,” said Dr. Dawn Banker, academic coordinator and instructor for the WSU Vancouver science program. “The fair will also provide an introduction to multiple areas of study such as allopathic medicine, nursing, pharmacy and veterinary medicine.”
