Parking: Special Conditions for Finals Week and Summer Session

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Parking and Transportation Services want people to be aware of several changes in parking regulations during finals week and summer session. The changes are as follows:

**Finals Week May 5-9 — Crimson and gray parking zones will continue to require their respective crimson or gray permit. This parking rule helps to keep resident students from being displaced from their regular parking zones during a critical time, said Chris Boyan, outreach coordinator with WSU Parking and Transportation Services. As usual, temporary, one-hour parking zones will be established in portions of crimson, gray, and other zones during finals week to accommodate moving out of residence halls.

**Summer Session May 12-Aug. 1 — Parking permits are not required for parking zones after 4 p.m. However, restricted spaces remain in effect. These areas include disability, load/unload, service, reserved, and specially signed areas. Gray parking zones are open to all valid WSU permits, except blue permits and university-owned apartment parking area permits. Crimson, orange, and green permits are valid in crimson zones during summer session. In addition, payment of parking meters after 4 p.m. is not required during summer session.

During other times of the year, other special parking conditions exist. For more information, visit the Web site at Parking and click on “Special Conditions” or call WSU Parking and Transportation Services at (509) 335-PARK.
