WSU Masters of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition Opens April 11

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Museum of Art opens its annual Masters of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition April 11. Eight artists will participate in this year’s installment.

The MFA exhibit is presented annually in conjunction with the graduate students final thesis work. From their two or more years of personal exploration, the artists have created works that make up a captivating exhibition, said Anna-Maria Shannon, museum spokeswoman.

The artists and their media are include doghed (stet), working in 3-D Media; Grey Fowles, Photography; Jeanne Fulfs, painting; Leslie Holt, painting; Lana Leishman, photography; Lance Sinnema, drawing; Debe White, drawing/painting; Lin Xu, ceramics.

Opening at 7 p.m. Friday (April 11) with a reception, the MFA exhibit will run through May 10 during regular Museum of Art hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday evening until 7 p.m.and Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

Funding for museum exhibitions and programs for this fiscal year is provided by Washington State University, the Friends of the Museum of Art, the WSU Foundation, and private donors. Additional support for educational programs has been provided by New Garden Restaurant, Pullman Child Welfare, Pullman Heating and Electric, Pullman Kiwanis Club, Pullman Lions Club, Pullman Parks and Recreation, Sims Glass, Windshield Doctor and private donors.
