PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Student Affairs officials have postponed a program to help students deal with war issues until noon Wednesday, March 26, in the Compton Union Building ballroom. The panel discussion was previously planned for Tuesday.
The panel will discuss “Dealing with Stress and Uncertainty.” It will be moderated by Charlene Jaeger, vice president for Student Affairs. Panel members include Barbara Hammond, Counseling Services; Gail Stearns-Moody, Campus Ministry; and Dr. Bruce Wright, Health and Wellness Services.
University officials also planned another public program this week to help students deal with issues involving the war with Iraq.
On Thursday, March 27, WSU faculty members will continue a public forum series America at War with the topic, “Freedom of Speech and Civil Liberties in the United States.” Moderated by Leroy Ashby, History, the featured speakers include T.V. Reed, English, and David Leonard, Comparative American Cultures. The panelists will discuss how America can balance individual freedom with national security. The noon program is set for the CUB’s Clevenger Lounge.
The Thursday forum is part of a series discussing current world affairs involving the foreign policy of the United States and the situation in Iraq.
