Cougar Holiday Events Bring Rose Bowl Spirit to Puget Sound

SEATTLE, Wash. – Three Washington State University events will bring slices of the WSU experience to alumni and fans this weekend in western Washington.

The Cougar Holiday Experience returns for a second series of seasonal gatherings in Olympia, Lynnwood and Bellevue starting Friday, Dec. 13, and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 15.

Each event features an extended selection of Cougar merchandise – including official Rose Bowl gear – as distributed by the Bookie. Additionally, limited supplies of Cougar Gold Cheese will be available for purchase at each of the Cougar Holiday Experience events.

Among other activities, WSU’s mascot, “Butch the Cougar,” will don a Santa suit at each event. Photo opportunities with “Santa Butch” will be available at all three locations.

The opening event will be in the Olympia area Friday, Dec. 13, from 7-10 p.m. at the Chinook UniServ Council Building, 5220 Capitol Boulevard, Tumwater.

Lynnwood’s Hampton Inn and Suites is the site of the Saturday, Dec. 14, function from noon to 3:30 p.m. The Hampton Inn is located near Alderwood Mall and other shopping outlets at 19324 Alderwood Mall Parkway.

The final Cougar Holiday Experience event will be at the Hyatt Regency’s Wintergarden Atrium Sunday, Dec. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. The Wintergarden, 900 Bellevue Way, features the City of Bellevue’s official Christmas tree, and is across the street from Bellevue Square.

There is no cost to attend any of these events and parking specials in Bellevue allow shoppers an economical means of participating in these Cougar festivities while also shopping at nearby retailers. There is no charge for parking at the Olympia or Lynnwood events.
