Red Cross Blood Drive

Come find out how good it feels to give from the heart. The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive in the WSU Student Recreation Center on November 5, from noon to 6 p.m.

The donation of blood is an opportunity for donors to help save lives.

According to The American Red Cross, supplies of blood are used every day and there is a continual demand for blood donations. Consistent donation of blood is necessary to maintain an adequate blood supply that is able to answer any eventuality. The generosity of blood donors can ensure blood banks are prepared.

Some basic requirements for donating blood include being in good general health, weighing a minimum of 110 pounds and being at least 18 years of age. Also, photo identification is required at the time of donation. By donating, you give potential recipients the gift of a lifetime.

Please call WSU Health and Wellness Services at 335-5759 to schedule a donation appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended.

Flu vaccines will also be available to WSU students, faculty and staff during the blood drive for a fee of $10. The flu vaccine shots will be provided from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and no appointment is necessary.

Dissmore’s of Pullman will be donating refreshments for all donors.
