Campuswide blood drive slated for Oct. 22-23

The Inland Northwest Blood Center is holding a Blood Drive for the WSU campus that will run 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 22 – 23 in the CUB Ballroom. This drive is a biannual event that is sponsored by the Rho Nu Prenursing Club, the American Pharmacists’ Association group on campus, the WSU Health and Wellness Center, the Air Force ROTC and the Farmhouse fraternity. Walk-in donors are welcome.

Because the red blood cells obtained from donors last only 42 days, your community needs a steady and regular collection in order to safeguard an adequate supply. In our area specifically, we have seen regular shortages of O and A type blood, which are the most common blood types and are currently recovering from an inventory shortage.

All donors are now asked to present Photo ID at donation time. For more information call the INBC Nursing Department at 800-423-0151.
