Habegger to speak Oct. 15

The Washington State University Dept. of English continues its fall 2002 Visiting Writer Series with Dr. Al Habegger. Dr. Habegger is Professor Emeritus at the University of Kansas, and also an independant scholar, fiction writer, and lecturer. A former Fullbright fellow, he is the author of several acclaimed biographies, most recently, The Father: A life of Henry James, Sr., and My Wars are Laid Away In Books: The Life of Emily Dickinson.

Dr. Habegger#s fiction and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Southern Review, The Heath Anthology of Literature, and The New England Quarterly, to name a few.

Dr. Habegger will present a noon colloquim in the Bundy Reading Room on Tues., Oct. 15. He will present a paper on Wed. evening, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Museum of Art/WSU.

Both events are free and open to the public.
