WSU NEWS: WSU Tri-Cities Enrollment Increases

TRI-CITIES, Wash — Fall semester enrollment at Washington State University Tri-Cities is up more than two percent. Official 10th day enrollment figures show the Tri–Cities campus has 1,099 students.

“We’re pleased to see our enrollments continue to climb,” said Director of Student Affairs Patricia Wright. She noted increases in graduate student numbers and the continued strong enrollment in education and nursing programs at the Richland campus.

The 10th day numbers show WSU Tri-Cities has 651 full time equivalent students. The school’s state contract funds 616 full time equivalent students. A full time equivalent student is enrolled for no less than 15 credits per semester at the undergraduate level and ten credits per semester for graduate students.

“In addition to growth in individual programs at WSU Tri–Cities, we’ve seen that our students – on average – are taking more credit hours per semester than last year,” Wright said.

WSU’s total fall enrollment on all campuses – Pullman, Vancouver, Spokane and the Tri–Cities – is 22,166.
