Lila McCann in Concert Oct. 19 at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. — Tickets go on sale Sept. 24 to see country singer Lila McCann perform at Washington State University.

WSU’s Beasely Coliseum will host the Oct. 19 concert at 8 p.m.

McCann’s latest CD, “Complete,” exposes the singer’s vocal ability and growth as an artist, with up-tempo tunes about falling in love – but not puppy love, state music critics.

“My music has changed … It has taken on a cooler edge, but it’s still not beyond my years,” said the 20-year-old McCann.

Released when she was just 15, her debut album produced such hits as “Down Came A Blackbird,” and her signature hit, “I Wanna Fall in Love.” The album went platinum, and she received the 1998 Country Radio Music Newcomer of the Year Award.

McCann is Tacoma native and 2000 graduate of Steilacoom High School.

All seats are reserved. Tickets are $15 and $12 for all students, and can be purchased at all TicketsWest outlets or by phone at 1-800-325-SEAT.

For more information, call Beasley Coliseum at (509) 335-3525 or check its Web site at beasley.wsu.edu.
