SATELLITE FEED OF SEPT. 11 EVENTS PLANNED FROM WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. — On Sept. 11, Washington State University will feed video of several of the early morning events that are sponsored by the university and Pullman to observe the one-year anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in News York City and other tragic events on that day.

The 10:30 a.m. feed on Sept. 11 will include:

– An art and essay exhibit on WSU’s Glenn Terrell Mall. Here visitors will view a pre-school-12th grade display that features essays and artwork of young people in the Pullman School District and in community pre-school programs. The display is designed to reflect, remember and honor the people who risked their lives to save others, along with those who continue to work to end violence.

– A flag ceremony at the WSU Veteran’s Memorial on Veteran’s Way (east of Thompson Hall) at 6:30 a.m.

– The community breakfast in the CUB Ballroom.

The activities planned for the week of Sept. 11 are designed to help the Pullman community and WSU observe the one-year anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City, as well as the other victims of what is considered one of the most tragic events in United States history.
