Cassie McVeety, director of Campus Advancement at Washington State University Vancouver, has been elected to serve a three-year term as the District VIII trustee to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s International Board of Trustees.
McVeety has served as a CASE volunteer for 13 years and a member of the District VIII board since 1989. Of her 17 years in advancement, 10 have been at WSU Vancouver, where she oversees the Office of Campus Advancement, including external relations, fund raising, community relations, media relations, alumni relations and communications and events. McVeety held previous positions at University of Portland in Oregon and Eastside Catholic High School in Bellevue.
In February 2002, McVeety was recognized with the CASE District VIII Distinguished Service Award for her commitment to the advancement profession, both by service to her institution and volunteer service to CASE.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is the largest international association of educational institutions, serving more than 3,200 universities, colleges, schools and related organizations in 45 countries. CASE is the leading resource for professional development, information and standards in the fields of educational fund raising, communications and alumni relations.
District VIII represents members in the Pacific Northwest region, consisting of the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba in Canada; and Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana in the United States.
