Girls encouraged in science

WSU Spokane has been encouraging girls to explore science as it hosted its popular CityLab summer science camp, July 8 – 12 on the Riverpoint campus. This year the program took young women grades 6 – 8 on an astrobiology quest.

Young investigators will use tools of DNA analysis, blood typing, food analysis, and gel electrophoresis to solve the mystery of the Martian mummies! The camp includes an overnight trip to the WSU Pullman campus to visit various science departments and the reopened WSU Jewett Observatory.
