VANCOUVER, Wash. — Two free concerts are scheduled for Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Washington State University Vancouver outdoor amphitheater.

Part of The Columbian’s Backyard Concert Series, the concerts feature a diverse blend of music with Spanish and Afro-Venezuelan influences by the Irene Farrera Band Friday and original world music with roots in Celtic, African, Flamenco, R&B and Classic Rock by The Guarneri Underground Saturday.

Both concerts begin at 7 p.m. Pre-concert activities and food sales begin at 6 p.m. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. Concerts will take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will move indoors to the Student Services lecture hall.
