PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship Program plans a June series of horseback riding lessons for people with various challenges.
The program’s summer session will run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from June 4-26.
The program, part of the university’s acclaimed People-Pet Partnership, also is looking for volunteers. There will be an orientation meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on May 22 in the Animal Disease Biotechnology Facility, Room 1002, for those who would like to join the program. A training session will be held 5:30-8 p.m. at the stable. The meetings are mandatory for all new volunteers. No experience is necessary to help with the program.
