WSU Service Unit Wins National Printing Awards

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Office of University Publications and Printing/Cougar Copies has received four awards for excellence in design and printing from the International Publishing Management Association. Awards are presented annually to the top-rated facilities in the country.

The WSU Financial Report won first place in the two-color annual reports category, while the Hotel & Restaurant Administration Viewbook won first place in the color photocopying category. Taking second place in the four-color posters category was the WSU Athletics Men’s Basketball Poster. The University Publications and Printing Cougar Wall Calendar was awarded third place in the four-color calendars category. WSU entries competed with corporations and universities operating in-house design and print facilities.

IPMA is the leading association exclusively dedicated to in-house professionals who provide graphic design, page layout, copy, print, mail and distribution services to their parent companies. Steve Rigby, director of Printing, credits a talented OUPP team working together with staff across the university for the award-winning publications.

The WSU publishing office has been recognized for many years as one of the top in-house printing facilities in the country, having captured the national management award last year. To view the winning entries, visit the OUPP portfolio site at www.wsu.edu/publications.
