MEDIA ADVISORY: Press Conference Planned With Daniel Schorr

PULLMAN, Wash. — A press conference at Washington State University is set for 1:40-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, with Daniel Schorr, one of the country’s most honored journalists. The event will be held in Lewis Alumni Centre’s Regents Room (on the second floor).

Schorr is the last of the legendary Edward R. Murrow news team. Now senior news analyst for National Public Radio, Schorr has received numerous awards, including three Emmys and the George Polk Radio commentary award.

Schorr will be recognized as the 2002 Recipient of WSU’s Edward R. Murrow Award for Distinguished Lifetime Achievement in Broadcasting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum. There he will give the 2002 Edward R. Murrow Symposium Address: “Forgive Us Our Press Passes: America and the Media.”
