Diablo Ballet Set to Perform at WSU April 12

PULLMAN, Wash. — Tickets are still available for the Diablo Ballet performance at 8 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Washington State University’s Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.

Diablo Ballet features a mix of classical and contemporary dance performances in original numbers, showcasing dancers and choreographers from around the world. Artistic Director Lauren Jonas has created a program with broad appeal to audiences of different backgrounds and circumstances.

The ballet company says it is committed to tradition, yet dares to be different in its innovative performances, according to its Web site.

The company performs throughout its home state of California and other Western states. Diablo Ballet was formed in 1993 as a way to address the absence of a professional ballet company in the Western Region. Diablo Ballet also is active in the education and outreach of artistic appreciation for future generations.

The ballet is sponsored by Festival Dance, a Palouse organization.

Tickets are $10-$28 and are available at the Beasley ticket office, Cougar Depot, North Campus Information Center in Moscow, Idaho, Albertson’s in Lewiston, Idaho, G&B Select-A-Seat outlets, online at www.ticketswest.com or by calling (800) 325-SEAT.
