VANCOUVER, Wash. — A panel of experts will discuss “Your Rights or Your Safety? Safety Post 9/11” at 7 p.m., Feb. 27, in the Washington State University Vancouver lecture hall.

At the heart of the discussion is how laws passed since Sept. 11 affect the rights of U.S. citizens. Panelists include WSU Vancouver professors Carolyn Long and Clay Mosher and Vancouver Chief of Police Stan Reeves. Long is an associate professor of political science and expert on national government. Mosher is an associate professor of sociology and expert on race and ethnic relations. Reeves has served as Chief of the Vancouver Police Department since October 2000.
